1. What are the QS ImpACT Awards?
The annual QS ImpACT Awards recognise and celebrate the impactful work of young changemakers who are contributing to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through community service, volunteering, and innovative projects.
2. What are the award categories?
The six award categories are:
- Green Innovator Award (Sustainable Solutions)
- Climate Education & Advocacy Champion Award
- Community Biodiversity Protection Award
- Women’s Leadership Award in Climate Action
- Urban Regeneration Pioneer Award
- Plastic Clean-Up Hero Award

3. Who is eligible to apply?
The awards are open to youth worldwide, aged 18-35 who have been involved in activities or projects contributing to sustainability or community improvement in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
- Each individual applicant may submit a maximum of one ImpACT report per award category.
- All submitted ImpACT Reports must reflect impact within the year 2024.
- Social media links provided as evidence must be dated from 2024 and verifiable.
- The ImpACT Report must fit in any one award category.
- The deadline to submit your impact report is November 4th, 2024
4. How do I know if my impact story qualifies?
If you’ve been part of any project, volunteer work, or initiative that supports a specific SDG and aligns with any one of the award categories, you most likely qualify! Whether it’s sustainable innovation, climate change education, biodiversity protection or more, your efforts can have a positive impact. When your submitted impact report is validated by the QS ImpACT team, you become eligible to win an award!
5. How do I apply?
To apply, you’ll need to submit an impact report:
- Sign in / Sign up on the QS ImpACT Website
- Verify your email address and log in
- Click on ‘Upload an Impact’
- Select the award category that best fits your work.
- Share your impact story, including details on what you’ve done, who it has helped, and the results achieved.

6. What should I include in my impact report?
Your impact story should highlight:
- What inspired your project or action.
- The specific problem you addressed and how it ties to an SDG.
- The steps you took to make a difference.
- The results and overall impact of your efforts.
- Clear photos of your impact activity
- Social media links of the story posted on anywhere
7. What if I’m unsure which category to apply for?
If you’re not sure which category suits your impact, review the award descriptions and match your work to the closest one. If in doubt, you can reach out to the QS ImpACT team for guidance at awards@qsimpact.org.
8. What’s the deadline for submission?
The application deadline is 4th November 2024.
9. Can I apply for more than one category?
Yes, you can! However, each individual applicant may submit a maximum of one ImpACT report per award category.

What kind of recognition do winners receive?
Winners will be awarded on a global platform during the QS ImpACT Awards event in London at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre. As a winner, you will get to:

11. Do I need a formal project to apply?
No, formal projects are not required. You can apply based on any impactful action you’ve taken, whether it’s through volunteering, raising awareness, or initiating small but meaningful changes in your community.
12. Is this an individual application or can my team apply?
You can apply as an individual or as a group! Make sure to tag your group members while submitting the impact report.
13. Is there any fee to apply for an award?
No, applying for the QS ImpACT Awards is completely free of cost.
14. What happens after I submit my application?
After submission, your impact story will be reviewed by the QS ImpACT team. Once validated, you are eligible for an award. Then, your application will be reviewed by judges who are sustainability experts and industry leaders. Winners of each category will be announced at the QS ImpACT Awards ceremony in December 2024.
15. What if I’m unsure about my impact?
It’s normal to feel unsure, but remember that every action, big or small, counts. If your work has made a positive difference in any capacity, we encourage you to share your impact report to qualify. You can read all about our past award winners and their impact stories for some inspiration!
16. Can I promote my application on social media?
Absolutely! Sharing your journey can inspire others. You can use hashtags like #QSIAwards2024 or #QSImpACT to engage with a wider audience.
